Jeni & Aedan's blog about kids with allergies

Are you a parent of a kid with an allergy, how did you go about diagnosing? Where do you turn to for support? What are they allowed to eat and what do you need to avoid? How do you explain to everyone else? What do you always need with you?

There are many more of these questions and endless prowling of websites, social media groups, and leaflets that I have read through which is how the idea of this blog came about.

I became a new mum in September 2016 to a very healthy boy. My son Aedan, now 19 months old, was diagnosed with multiple food allergies from the age of 7 months old. The allergies vary from intolerance, to contact allergies, to also potentially life-threatening. This has changed so many aspects of our life that I’d love to be able to share with everyone how we came to know about his allergies, our food and weaning experience, and hopefully some reassurance and how to guides for anyone who may be in our position and most importantly to create awareness.

It would be great to hear your thoughts, comments, suggestions, and questions. All comments will be approved as I want to keep the vibe positive. We’re here to share the learning and be as helpful as can be.

Thank you for reading, visiting, commenting and contributing.
